We built a document AI that does the first read so people do not have to. It opens each file, works out what kind of document it is, pulls out the details that matter, checks them against the bank's own rules, and files the document where it belongs. Anything unusual gets flagged for a human. Nothing gets approved by the machine alone.

That last part mattered a lot to the bank, and honestly it matters a lot to us too. The AI does the reading and the sorting. People keep the judgment calls.

The moment it clicked

About three weeks into the pilot, the head of operations told us she had opened the queue on a Monday morning and, for the first time in years, it was empty. She assumed the system was broken. It was not. The weekend's documents had already been read, sorted, and filed before she finished her coffee.
